Palliative care report
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare ‘s National Palliative Care Performance Indicators 2005 Report, shows that palliative care services in Australia are generally meeting the four national high level performance indicators of the National Palliative Care Strategy.
The report shows that 66% of administrative health regions have a plan for palliative care; 71% of palliative care agencies actively collect feedback from patients, clients and staff relating to service delivery; 96% of agencies have formal working partnerships with other healthcare service providers; and 34% of palliative care agencies routinely undertake assessment against industry agreed standards.
