New South Wales (NSW) home preparation and relocation business, Moving On’s director, Lisa Oshlack, has been nominated for the Telstra NSW Business Women’s Awards by a happy client.

Now a finalist amongst over 4,000 nominations, she credits the idea of the company to a favour she did for a friend in 2005. After completing a property vacating job for a family acquaintance, Ms Oshlack realised she had stumbled across a unique business concept which would help over 55s relocate in a stress-free and speedy manner.

Moving On specialises in relocating people to aged care and retirement living, preparing deceased estates for sale, decluttering and home relocations. They also have an environmental philosophy, recycling on every job, reducing waste and supplying charities such as Oasis, St Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army with useful household items.

“Moving On is a success because of my passion and dedication to making a positive difference to other people’s lives and fulfilling a need for a compassionate relocation service,” said Ms Oshlack.

Ms Oshlack is a finalist in the Nokia Business Innovation Award category.
The winners of the 2010 Telstra NSW Business Women’s Awards will be announced on 24 September. National Winners will be announced in November.
