Organ Donor Awareness Week

Australians Donate is celebrating the start of Australian Organ Donor Awareness Week, starting on Sunday, 17 February.

Last year 198 people donated and there are 1,875 people waiting for organs now! People die waiting.

Everyone needs to register to donate and talk to family and friends about their wishes.

The board of Australians Donate will celebrate the National launch of Australian Organ Donor Awareness Week on 17 February.

This year’s theme is ‘it’s time for a family chat’. The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Health and Ageing, Senator the Hon. Jan McLucas, will officially launch Australian Organ Donor Awareness Week.
