‘One-stop-shop’ for Queensland’s seniors

Queensland seniors can now go online to a one-stop-shop for information from concessions to transport to issues regarding health and grand parenting after the launch of a new state government website.

The website, which has been active for a month, is home to a wide range of senior-specific content.

“It’s topic-based, meaning the customer can easily find the information they need in one place,” Minister for Community Services, Karen Struthers, says, adding all Queenslanders should visit the website.

Launched in time for the last seniors’ roundtable last year, Council on the Ageing Queensland chief executive, Mark Tucker-Evans, says the website will assist seniors who use the internet to access government information.

“Rather than searching numerous sites, they will be able to be linked to all government information through the one site,” he says, adding he looks forward to working with the government to expand the service.

Visit the website by clicking here or for more information, contact the Seniors Enquiry Line on 1300 135 500.
