Older workers staying on

A growing number of older workers have put their retirement plans on hold as Australia’s workforce grows.
The November 2006 participation rate – the number of people aged 15 or more in the labour force – as measured by the Australian Bureau of Statistics – showed an increase of 0.2 percentage points to 64.8%. This was well above the 10 year average of 63.5%.
