Older Persons’ Affordable Housing Forum

Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA), Council On The Ageing (COTA), and the Brotherhood of St Laurence are holding an Older Persons’ Affordable Housing Forum to raise the profile of older persons’ housing issues and develop initiatives that are inclusive, encourage innovation, and are built on best practice.

The invitation-only forum will be held at Old Parliament House, Canberra on 1 July, and will be chaired by Professor Julian Disney, Convenor of the National Affordable Housing Summit, who has worked closely with the Government on its housing policy.

It will look at Independent Living Units and the role of the aged care sector in providing affordable housing.

The Minister for Housing, Tanya Plibersek, has agreed to speak.
