Older drivers less likely to use mobile phones
A study in Melbourne has shown drivers aged 50 and over are the least likely to use a handheld mobile phone while driving.
The Medical Journal of Australia reports drivers under 30 were most often caught in this illegal situation.
Drivers were observed in 2002 and 2006, and the use of a mobile while driving decreased over this period among older drivers.
