NSW providers nominations for mental health

This is the second year of a two year health promotion project to recognise residential aged care providers in New South Wales who are implementing strategies to promote a positive approach to the prevention and management of mental health conditions.

The aim of the program is to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of residents in residential aged care facilities and to promote the sharing of positive strategies within the industry.

Three awards of $10,000 each will be presented to the winning facilities that demonstrate strategies which fulfil the evaluation criteria for each category.

A runner up award of $5,000 will also be awarded for each category. All entries will be judged by a panel of experts and entries close on 30 June.

The application form and information guide can be found at http://www.agedservices.asn.au or by contacting Janine Lundie at janinel@agedservices.asn.au or (02) 8754 0400.
