NSW housing developments nearly complete
A Housing New South Wales (NSW) development in Moss Vale is due to be opened by the end of the year. It will provide 20 new rental homes for seniors on a low income and young people with a disability.
The development was the subject of dispute between Wingecarribee Shire Council and Housing NSW.
When opened, the units will be managed by Argyle Community Housing.
The rental cost of the units will be 25% of gross household income which should come in well below the average rental cost of $230 in the area.
Jemalong Village to be officially opened by Quentin Bryce
The new $16.2 million Jemalong Village in Forbes will be officially opened on 10 December by her Excellency the Governor General of Australia, Quentin Bryce.
The new village is the product of a partnership between the Federal Government, Forbes Shire Council, Forbes Jemalong Aged People’s Association and Catholic Healthcare.
