NSW consults on volunteering on 26 May

Posted
by DPS

The NSW Ministerial Advisory Committee on Ageing is holding community consultations on the theme of volunteering on 26 May.

There will be two consultations: Newcastle City Hall (9.30am to 1.30pm) and Maitland Town Hall (5.30pm to 8.30pm).

The consultations are an opportunity for the public to say how to attract middle aged and older people to volunteering, how to better utilise older people’s life experience and skills, and how volunteering options could better suit the commitments, aspirations and interests of middle-aged and older people.

Consultation findings will be reported to the Minister for Ageing and used to inform government strategies to promote volunteering among older people.

Places are limited. Register by calling (02) 8270 2154.
