Next generation facility for Regis

Posted
by DPS

The Regis Group has announced it will build a new aged care facility on its Hollywood Village site in Nedlands, Western Australia.

Following an extensive Expression of Interest phase in the aged care precinct, the Regis Group has decided it will maintain full ownership of the site.

The facility due for completion in 2012, will feature two distinctly different designed buildings, with low, high and dementia specific care as well as high care additional services. It is designed to meet or exceed current Environmentally Sustainable Design requirements and is close to several major hospitals.

Upon completion, residents of Regis’ nearby three aged care facilities will be offered places in next generation facility.

Regis Group chief executive officer, Ross Johnston, says “The building of the new aged care facility and the addition of 40 new beds will not only provide a state of the art home to our current residents, it is an investment in much needed new facilities to meet future demand in Western Australia.

“With most aged care providers not in a position to commit to further building the Regis Group is continuing in its commitment to provide older Australians with quality housing and care and respond to the challenge of an ageing population,” he added.
