New appointments to Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Board
David Deans, former chief executive officer (CEO) of National Seniors, Richard Gray, director of Aged Care at Catholic Health Australia and Doug Strain, CEO of Masonic Homes in South Australia, have been appointed as new members of the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Board . Peter Toohey has been reappointed.
In announcing the new appointments, the Minister for Ageing, Senator Santo Santoro, has also foreshadowed a review of the governance arrangements of the Agency in 2010 to assess whether the independent company structure remains appropriate in the light of reforms to the quality and compliance framework the Government is putting in place in 2007.
