‘New ACSA’ looking for CEO
A new leader is being sought to head up ‘New ACSA’, the interim organisation which has been formed following the Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) transition into a single national entity.

ACSA President Paul Sadler believes the new organisation will bring a stronger national voice for the not-for-profit sector, enhanced policy capacity and effective member support services.
With SA/NT and WA state associations approving resolutions to undertake a legal transition into New ACSA and, NSW/ACT and Tasmania voting shortly, state entities will be wound up in the coming months.
A new logo has been adopted, and a new national website and national membership communications are being implemented.
Current chief executive officer (CEO) Adjunct Prof John Kelly suggested to the Board that now is the time to recruit a new CEO to take the organisation to its next level.
Mr Sadler confirmed the Board had agreed to this approach. “The complex work to bring the organisation and its members into a single entity is now almost complete and ACSA would benefit from a fresh focus on where it could play an active leadership role in the sector and on behalf of its members,” he says.
“The New ACSA brings together over 70 staff nationally under one management structure.”
Mr Sadler says the organisation would be looking for a CEO who can deliver this next part of the development and thanked John for his leadership and commitment to achieving a single national entity.
“John has agreed that he would remain as CEO during a recruitment process for his replacement,” Mr Sadler confirms.
