National Seniors want retirement age to be 75
The National Seniors group has recommended that the retirement age be pushed to 75 years and that compulsory superannuation be increased from nine to 15%, in a blueprint AdvantAGE Australia.
The retirement aged should be raised gradually to reach 75 by 2020.
The new policy also calls for the Reserve Bank to set the average wage annually and that the Government should legislate to peg the pension to a percentage of this figure.
National Seniors also wants the Government to remove upper age limits on superannuation and workers’ compensation.
