National Healthy Bones Week 1-7 August

Posted
by DPS

Dairy Australia and Osteoporosis Australia announced National Healthy Bones Week 2010 (1 – 7 August) to champion the important role calcium rich foods, such as dairy, play in the development and maintenance of healthy bones and prevention of osteoporosis throughout life.

A nationwide campaign, National Healthy Bones Week reminds all Australians that they need to take care of their ‘inside’ bone health for long term well being.

There are some activities and useful information available at the official Healthy Bones website http://www.healthybones.com.au

Visit the website to find:

  • Calcium Cowculator – just drag and drop different foods into the giant mouth to find out the calcium content in different foods.
  • Fun recipes ideas to ensure more calcium in your daily diet.
  • Information on adults and seniors.

Remember it’s what’s inside that counts!
