Monday 26 March Flu Vaccination Day for healthcare workers
Monday March 26 has been named Flu Vaccination Day for healthcare workers across Australia, in an effort to increase awareness of vaccination campaigns.
Despite recommendations from both the National Health & Medical Research Council andthe Influenza Specialist Group (ISG), that healthcare workers should be vaccinated against the flu, uptake rates remain low.Ideally, Australia’s uptake rates should be closer to 75 per cent rather than the current levels of 20-50 per cent.
