Minister for Ageing refuses to comment on aged care indexation funding in Budget
The Minister for Ageing Justine Elliot says that any change to the future funding of the Conditional Adjustment Payment (CAP) is a matter for consideration by the Government in the context of the Budget.
She said it is a long standing principle to neither confirm nor deny what is, or is not, part of the Budget process.
“The Federal Government is committed to the long-term viability of the Australia’s aged care sector and the protection of the nation’s frail and elderly,” she said.
