Major Sydney eastern suburbs school site sold for retirement development

The former Vaucluse High School land has been sold by the NSW government for $30.1 million to Zig Inge Retirement Villages.

According to the company’s website, Zig Inge pioneered the concept of resident-funded retirement villages in Australia in Victoria in 1979. Since then, Mr Inge has been involved in the planning, development, building and management of 15 retirement villages and five serviced apartment buildings in Victoria, NSW, Queensland and the ACT.

The site covers 1.2 hectares of level land, and is adjacent to the Vaucluse shopping centre and bowling club as well as being on bus routes.
