Liveable family homes for changing lifestyles

Posted
by DPS

Master Builders Australia and the Department of Health and Ageing are encouraging more builders and designers to deliver high quality, practical and liveable family homes that are adaptable to the changing lifestyles and needs of older Australians.

They have launched the 2007 Master Builders Australia National Lifestyle Housing for Seniors Award, which will be presented at the Master Builders International Conference on the Gold Coast on 10 November 2007.

The Awards recognise the growing awareness and acceptance of residential dwellings that provide a range of lifestyle options for older Australians.

There will be two Award categories: purpose-built owner-occupied dwellings including townhouses and apartments, and the other covering existing owner-occupied homes which have been purposely extended or modified.

Builders, designers and the community are invited to nominate projects for the 2007 National Lifestyle Housing for Seniors Award.
