LASA welcomes new CEO
Leading Age Services Australia – Victoria (LASA Victoria), a leading peak body for aged and community care in Victoria, has welcomed John Begg as chief executive. Mr Begg brings to the role extensive senior management experience in aged care and independent retirement living.
Leading Age Services Australia – Victoria (LASA Victoria), a leading peak body for aged and community care in Victoria, has welcomed John Begg as chief executive.
Mr Begg brings to the role extensive senior management experience in aged care and independent retirement living where he has worked across the areas of strategic planning, marketing and human resources.
He has previously undertaken executive roles for financial services company IOOF, Victorian not-for-profit aged care provider Benetas, private property group Gandel Group and also within his own business.
As the industry begins the decade long journey of reform, Mr Begg says he looks forward to working with members at this time of change to ensure the best possible outcomes for the providers of aged care – and for the older Australians who receive it.
“The aged care industry has become more complex, with the ways older Australians receive their care – and their demand for it – set to shift in the coming years.
“These changes strengthen the need for a strong, united industry voice for aged care in Victoria.
“LASA Victoria will continue to be that voice for members, and I am delighted to be leading the organisation at this time of great change and opportunity for our industry,” he says.
