Kids staying at home as parents age
According to a new Australian Bureau of Statistics report , many baby boomers have their adult children living with them.
Just under half (47%) of young adults aged 18 to 24 years had never left home. Fourteen per cent of adults 25 to 34 years had never left home, for financial reasons or the convenience or enjoyment of living with their parents.
Adult children listed their main reasons for moving out of home as a desire to live with their partner or get married, to study, or for work.
