Keeping seniors up to date on special savings
The first Victorian Seniors Card e-newsletter has been launched and encourages seniors with an email address to subscribe so they can receive details about the latest discounts.
Victorian Minister for Ageing, David Davis, recently launched the first Victorian Seniors Card e-newsletter and encouraged seniors with an email address to subscribe so they can receive details about the latest discounts.
“The e-newsletter is a new way that seniors with access to the Internet can learn about new offers and discounts available through the Victorian Seniors Card,” Minister Davis said.
“You can also look out for the ‘Seniors Card Welcome Here’ sign at participating businesses around Victoria or call the Seniors Card program on 1300 797 210.”
Minister Davis said the Seniors Card is just one of the many ways the Victorian government is helping seniors’ live active and healthy lives, and stay connected to their community.
“With a Seniors Card you are entitled to a range of discounts from more than 4,000 businesses right around the state,” he said.
“Each month new and exciting discounts are added, so it’s important to keep uptodate and make the most of the savings on offer with your Seniors Card.”
The e-newsletter also features the latest news and information of interest to seniors in Victoria.
The first edition offers safety tips for the summer season including a quiz on fire readiness and ways to stay healthy in the heat.
It also gives seniors access to the massive Senior Online Discount Directory where you can search the wide range of discounted goods and services from participating businesses including travel, accommodation, hospitality, entertainment and leisure.
Today, there are more than 950,000 Victorian Seniors Card holders.
“I urge seniors who are online to subscribe using a current e-mail address to receive the seasonal Victorian Seniors Card e-newsletter,” Minister Davis said.
