There may be no better time than the present to stay up-to-date with DPS News after a new British study has revealed avid news-junkies are reportedly more health-conscious and may live longer.
The study found those who are most exposed and more inquisitive about the news have healthier diets than those who were less well informed, the Daily Mail reports.
The study puts to rest past research which has often suggested mass media can have a negative impact on health, which has linked television to physical inactivity, snacking and major risk factors for obesity and heart disease.
The participants completed questionnaires on mass media usage, from TV viewing to newspaper and magazine reading and surfing the internet, which was then analysed alongside medical, lifestyle and dietary data.
