It’s time to ‘spring’ into action against the sun
Australia’s leading organisation for the diagnosis and treatment of all skin diseases, the Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD), says spring sunshine often catches people unaware and as a result, can lead to more cases of serious sunburn than in the peak summer months of January and February.
“People need to stay in the habit of covering up in order to protect themselves from the sun’s harmful rays, whether that be by wearing a light long sleeved top or using SPF 30+ sunscreen,” says Dr Stephen Shumack from the ACD.
