Feros Care is spreading the word 'Get Bold Not Old' at this year's Cooly Rocks On festival.

Running over 10 days and with more than 100,000 people expected to attend the cross-generational 2016 event, Feros Care chief executive officer, Jennene Buckley, says Cooly Rocks On is the perfect platform to initiate a conversation about celebrating ageing, and ageing boldly.

Revelers at this year’s Cooly Rocks On could be in the running for a $1000 cash prize just for getting 'tattooed' with the feel good slogan, Get Bold Not Old.

Sponsoring the event, Feros Care is giving away thousands of stick on tattoos during the 10 day nostalgia fest which started last Friday.

Festival goers who take a snap of themselves being bold with the new tattoo and then post the picture to social media – making sure they tag @feroscare plus #GetBoldNotOld_Tattoo – have the chance to win.

It is the second year Feros Care, has sponsored the annual rock’n’roll revival festival, which culminates in a street parade of 50s and 60s classic cars over the weekend of 11 and 12 June.

Last year festival-goers were encouraged to share aspirations and fears about ageing by writing messages on Feros Care’s As I Age Wall – a touring art installation which has also attracted crowds at Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Byron Bay Writer’s Festivals.

This year Feros Care will install a retro Photo Wall where young and old can be photographed poking their heads through a life size poster scene featuring a group of rock’n’rollers and a vintage car.

A roving camera crew will also ask festival-goers to answer the question, What Sort of Old Do You Want to Be? – as part of Feros Care’s next celebrating ageing campaign. A sneak preview of the campaign can be viewed during Cooly Rocks On at the classic drive in movie taking place at Seagulls carpark, Tweed Heads, on Friday June 10, at 6pm.

Ms Buckley says Cooly Rocks On is the perfect place to raise the profile of seniors.

“These two weeks of retro fun bring together young and old and really encapsulates Feros Care’s ethos to celebrate ageing,” she says.
