Ross Low, BCS CEO
Care provider, Baptist Community Services – New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory (BCS) has announced the appointment of Ross Low as chief executive officer (CEO), to succeed Dr June Heinrich upon her retirement last week.
“Ross is well placed to lead BCS in this phase of the organisation’s journey, and I commend him to you,” said Dr Heinrich.
Mr Ross has wide experience in finance and senior management with several multinational corporations, working both in Australia and overseas. He joined BCS in 2001 with his most recent role as general manager, corporate support division.
Mr Bruce Message, managing director of Premier Consulting, BCS’ financial consulting firm, believes Mr Low is a deserving incumbent for the CEO role.
“His thorough knowledge of an incredibly complex business will enhance BCS and its broader community, through his measured considerations and decisions,” said Mr Message.
New CEO appointed to Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria
Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria has announced the appointment of Maree McCabe as its new CEO.
Ms McCabe has a professional background in mental health nursing, with a wealth of management experience, most recently in the past six years as executive operations with TLC Aged Care, a provider of residential aged care with a large workforce. She holds an MBA with a major in strategic planning.
“I am honoured to be joining such a committed organisation involved in work that impacts on the future of so many Victorians,” said Ms McCabe.
“Alzheimer’s Australia’s aim is to build a world class dementia care system and I am privileged to have the opportunity to be part of this vision. My central focus is on quality of life for older people and I look forward to working hard to advance their interests.”
She will commence her new role in October.
