Hip-hop George, 91, takes new bride

Melbourne pensioner George Bramley, decided that even at the ripe old age of 91, a regular hip-hop dance routine was the best way to keep his legs moving at his Seniors Moves and Grooves class.

“At hip-hop there’s only about six in the class. I’m the only bloke. The exercise sessions at the old folks home, you’d sit down to do it. I like this a lot better,” George told the Melbourne Herald Sun newspaper.

Keeping his youth genes working, George is also planning to marry his German teacher, Klaudia Hochhuth, 58, who said that, “we only met six months ago. We sort of clicked. My father’s 81, 10 years younger than George. He thinks I’m crazy, as usual,” said Ms Hochhuth.

Before coming to Australia 25 years ago, George worked with the Royal Air Force, and was a rear gunner during World War 2. Now he’s planning to detour to Germany to meet Klaudia’s family after a honeymoon in Switzerland, where his hip-hop may or may not be an advantage.
