Health and education ‘hub’ in Brisbane
The Queensland government has announced it will develop an integrated health and education ‘hub’ at Springfield on Brisbane’s Southside.
The centre will occupy about 50 hectares of land at Springfield and would include specialist medical services, respite and aged care facilities and hospital services.
Premier Peter Beattie says the US company, Harvard Medical International, is collaborating with three south-east Queensland universities to develop the project.
