Artist and resident of TLC Aged Care’s The Belmont, Gladys Clarke, was recently honoured with the inaugural Gladys Clarke Intergenerational Art Exhibition after staff discovered her work was on display in Parliament House.

“We wanted to honour and recognise the amazing talent of Gladys. As soon as we found out that her work is on display in Parliament House in Canberra we knew that we had to do something special. And we wanted to showcase the talents of our extended family… and it’s plain to see that The Belmont definitely has talent,” said Belmont manager, Claire Fry.

The facility event had over 200 exhibits and in attendance were Darren Cheeseman, Federal MP for Corangamite, and Michael Crutchfield, Federal MP for South Barwon.

Prizes were awarded in 3 different age groups and the winners were selected by counting votes.

The popularity of the event will see it become an annual occasion.
