Fresh fish stars again
It pops up on most lists of ‘good’ foods to eat, and now fish has earned another plaudit: according to research in the American College of Cardiology Journal, a high fish oil intake may help prevent life-threatening heart rhythm disorders.
The study says a high fish oil intake – from grilled or baked but not fried fish such as tuna – has a direct effect on the heart’s circuitry and may help prevent heart rhythm disorders. The best effect is achieved by eating this fish five times a week.
