Residential aged care leader, Allity, is preparing to welcome residents to its new Gosling Creek Aged Care facility in New South Wales' town of Orange.

Boasting a fresh design and approach to resident care and service, Gosling Creek Aged Care ensures residents feel 'at home' with bursts of vibrant shades of orange throughout the facility.

The facility brings together a blend of the traditional Australian homestead and the best in modern technology to provide a homely, enriching environment, offering unequalled comfort, care and privacy.

Located close to the health and medical precinct on Forest Road, Gosling Creek offers easy access to healthcare services for residents.

The community of Orange will be more familiar with Calare Aged Care, Allity’s existing home.

Allity operates more than 40 homes throughout New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria as one of Australia’s leading accredited aged care providers.

The interiors of Gosling Creek Aged Care are selected to create a home like feel, with comfortable furnishings and warm, inviting décor.

A strong emphasis has been placed on natural light and connections to outdoors. Most rooms have their own outdoor sitting area surrounded by plenty of garden spaces and everyone has access to sheltered courtyards for family and friends to enjoy all year round.

Each wing has been designed to create a neighbourhood feel ensuring residents maintain social connections and get to know each other.

Providing the choice of more intimate spaces or larger communal areas was a key feature of the design, with a variety of dining areas and recreation rooms, to invite social lifestyle activities and encourage family traditions.

In keeping with Orange’s growing reputation as a destination for great food, coffee and dining, Gosling Creek Aged Care’s café located in the foyer will provide a convenient option for gathering of friends and family.

Other attractions include an outdoor terrace with entertaining areas for functions; wellness and consulting rooms for appointments with doctors, physiotherapists or other healthcare practitioners; a beauty salon and a flexible multi-purpose room for events like movie nights or functions.

Behind the scenes are a number of service areas, such as laundry, maintenance and equipment rooms as well as a full commercial sized kitchen, all of which support the seamless provision of services to residents with minimal disruption to the peaceful atmosphere.

Regional operations manager, Dawn Roodenrys, will lead the team at Gosling Creek Aged Care, which launched on Wednesday night to local GPs and the aged care industry.

The Community Open Day is scheduled for Saturday, 14 March 2015. The first residents of Gosling Creek Aged Care will be admitted next Tuesday (27 January 2015).
