Free Commonwealth funded energy audit in NSW

This is a small business climate change action initiative, providing 500 free energy audits for a cross-section of small business and not-for-profit organisations, which runs until the end of June 2008.

The Small Business Climate Change Action Initiative aims to:

  • Assist business to reduce costs and environmental impacts, by identifying opportunities for the management of greenhouse gas emissions and energy use.
  • Assist the Australian Government to understand small business greenhouse gas emissions and energy use behaviours.
  • Build an ongoing relationship with a cross sector of small businesses nationally.

To be eligible, the business must have less than 30 FTE employees and be, for NSW and the ACT, in Sydney, Canberra or Bathurst.

They are still calling for applicants.

The audit would include a visit from an experienced energy auditor, who will assess the building and equipment, and provide a report on options for reducing energy use and emissions.
