Free breast cancer checklist on DVD

A free DVD that separates fact from fiction about breast cancer has been produced by the National Breast Cancer Centre and is available prior to October being proclaimed as breast cancer awareness month.

Around 13,000 Australian women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and discovering the problem early provides the best chance of women surviving the disease.

The breast changes that need to be checked include a new lump or lumpiness, especially if it is in one breast; a change in the size or shape of a breast; a change to the nipple such as crusting or redness; a nipple discharge; an unusual pain that stays.

The detailed DVD with all this information and more can be ordered through www.nbcc.org.au or by calling 1800 624 973.
