Previously the State Director of Aged and Community Care at the Commonweatlh Department for Health and Ageing, Mr Quire recently joined Life Care in the newly created role of Director Strategy.
He will work closely with Life Care’s Chief Executive Officer Allen Candy and General Manager Innovation & Service Development Deborah Muldoon to ensure the organisation continues to deliver innovative, flexible and tailored services within the new consumer-directed framework.
He brings more than 20 years experience in aged care, including the past seven years as Assistant State Manager and then Acting State Manager for the Department for Health and Ageing. Most recently, Mr Quire was overseeing the allocation, monitoring, planning and engagement with providers of all Commonwealth-funded community and aged care programs.
Over that time, Mr Quire says he had watched Life Care develop into an organisation that “exemplifies what can be achieved when an organisation commits to delivering quality outcomes for clients”.
Chief Executive Officer Allen Candy says Mr Quire’s strong understanding of the consumer- directed care reforms will support Life Care as it transitions from an aged care provider to a service partner that supports seniors.
“Allan’s knowledge, understanding and passion for aged care is a strong asset to our team as we refine and develop our strategic intent to embrace the opportunities and challenges that a consumer-directed marketplace brings,” Mr Candy says.
“We have gained immense respect for Allan’s professionalism, knowledge and honesty in his various roles with the Commonwealth and are delighted that he has joined Life Care at such an important time in our business and in our sector.”
