Final calls for Community Achievement and COTA SA Awards nominations

Closing dates for some of the state and territory Community Achievement Awards, which include an Excellence in Aged Care Award category, are looming.

These awards are designed to encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions individuals, communities and businesses are making throughout each state or territory.

Closing dates are:

  • Tasmania: Wednesday 10 August
  • South Australia: Wednesday 17 August
  • New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory : Friday 19 August

For more information visit the Awards website.

Nominations for the annual COTA SA Positive Ageing Awards close Friday 26 August. The Positive Ageing Awards honour and celebrate the most outstanding individuals and organisations who are leading the way.

They are part of the Every Generation Festival, a festival that is taking all before it to blow away ageist stereotypes and replace them with contemporary images, events and reflections of our modern ageing.

Nominations are free and anyone can make a nomination in one, or more, of the categories. This year there are 13 categories which vary from Outstanding Achiever, Employer of the Year to Creative Arts Programs, Community Programs and Research Into Ageing.

As well as nominating an individual or organisation you feel deserves recognition, you can also nominate yourself or your program for an award. Click here for more information.

The Positive Ageing Awards ceremony will take place at COTA SA Gala Cocktail Party on Friday 28th October 2016 at the Intercontinental Hotel Ballroom.
