Fifth Community Pharmacy Agreement consultations

The Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia are inviting written submissions from interested parties to assist in the development of three new initiatives funded under the Fifth Community Pharmacy Agreement:
- Continued Dispensing of PBS Medicines in Defined Circumstances;
- Supply and PBS Claiming from a Medication Chart in Residential Aged Care Facilities; and
- Electronic Recording and Reporting of Controlled Drugs.
The consultation focuses on the clinical and professional elements for each of the initiatives, refining the development of the initiatives and how they will work in practice. Written comment is sought from all interested stakeholders, prescribers, pharmacists, aged care industry groups and consumers.
