Feros Care renews sponsorship of senior tennis ace
Australian not for profit aged and community care provider, Feros Care, recently renewed its sponsorship of senior tennis ace, Margaret Fisher, supporting her bid to become the over 80s Australian tennis champion at the 2015 Australian Tennis Senior Championships in Canberra.
Senior tennis ace, Margaret Fisher, fits perfectly with the philosophy that ageing can be an opportunity for new beginnings regardless of our calendar age.
This is the third year running Feros Care has supported the championship goals of the 84 year old tennis ace.
The aged care provider has previously sponsored Ms Fisher to attend the World Super Seniors Tennis Championships in Turkey and Austria, over the past two years.
Ms Fisher, recently returned from the 34th International Super Seniors Tennis Championships, winning two bronze medals in both the teams’ event and the mixed doubles.
Feros Care chief executive, Jennene Buckley, says Feros Care continued to sponsor Ms Fisher’s tennis career because she typified everything seniors could be.
“Margaret is simply a wonderful example of healthy ageing. She is enthusiastic, fit, inspired and working on achieving her potential and the goals she has set for herself,” Ms Buckley says.
“Margaret is also an inspiration to everyone in the community and fits perfectly with the philosophy that ageing can be an opportunity for new beginnings regardless of our calendar age.”
Ms Fisher says she is deeply appreciative of the support offered by Feros Care.
“Feros Care's commitment to senior athletes is outstanding,” she said. “I’m so thrilled. They have been generous and really made a difference in my life. They believe in me!” she says.
