Fed Govt recruiting staff for new Office of Aged Care Quality and Compliance
The Federal Government is recruiting about 100 staff for the new Office of Aged Care Quality and Compliance which it is establishing in response to claims of widespread elder abuse made earlier this year.
It has committed $90.2 million to fund new measures to protect and preserve the rights and dignity of elderly people living in Commonwealth funded aged care.
The new Office requires investigative officers who will look into complaints from residents, their families and staff of aged care homes to ensure that residents receive high quality service. The salary packages start at $62,500 pa.
