Family carers of a person living with dementia nationwide are invited to participate in an online survey conducted by researchers at Victoria’s La Trobe University. The survey is part of a study that aims to collect data on stress, coping resources and the wellbeing of carers of people with dementia.

The survey is part of a study that aims to collect data on stress, coping resources and the wellbeing of carers of people with dementia.
The survey is being conducted as part of a PhD research project in the School of Psychological Sciences at La Trobe University, and has been approved by the La Trobe University Faculty of Science Technology and Engineering Human Ethics Committee. The project also has the support of Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria.
Participation in the study is voluntary and anonymous. It is anticipated that the survey will take 30-40 minutes to complete. You will be asked to provide some descriptive information about yourself and about your family member who has dementia.
You will also be asked to reflect on your experience of caring for someone with dementia and to respond to questions based on your experience.
The information that you provide will help researchers better understand the factors needed to assist coping in dementia carers and will help inform future support programs.
Upon completing the survey you will be eligible to enter the draw to win a $100 Coles Myer voucher. Details on how to enter the draw will appear at the end of the survey.
