Extroverts have less heart risks
Men who are socially awkward or introverted have higher risk of deaths from heart attacks, strokes and other forms of cardiovascular disease.
The US Annals of Epidemiology report backs up other research which shows that particular character traits can have a profound affect on men’s health, probably related to stress.
For example, heart attacks are more frequent in men who tend to be aggressive, bossy, short-tempered and in a hurry to get things done
The latest research shows that the same is true of another type of personality – men who find it difficult to mix with other people and avoid having contact with other people if they can help it.
