Nominations are now open for the 2013 NSW Seniors Week Achievement Awards.

The 2013 awards for individuals will celebrate seniors for their achievements in eight categories.

The award categories available include: business, intergenerational understanding, environment, science and agriculture, health and well-being, lifelong learning, community service and supporting working seniors.

The 2013 award for organisations will acknowledge organisations supporting working seniors. Organisations must be a group or organisation contributing to seniors’ initiatives in NSW.

Any NSW resident who is 60 years of age or older is eligible for nomination. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as well as people with a lifelong disability, are eligible if they are 50 years or older.

Online nominations are encouraged; however a printable nomination form is available here.

Nominations close Friday, 14 September 2012. Awards will be presented during 2013 NSW Seniors Week between 17 to 24 March 2013.

For more information or to nominate visit www.nswseniorsweek.com.au or call Seniors Information Service on 13 12 44.
