Digital Training at Catalyst Foundation

With that in mind South Australian organisation Catalyst Foundation (formerly Seniors Information Service) has developed a series of training courses, designed especially for those who would like to know more about the Internet, computers, tablets and mobile devices.

Within this series, Catalyst Foundation offers a variety of informative technology training opportunities to the community, including how to use tablets (iPads/Android), smartphones and computers.

Digital technology is a great way to stay connected with family and friends near or far, and access a range of information and services. Experienced volunteers will guide you through it all step by step, no matter what device you prefer to use.

Catalyst Foundation recently introduced two new technology training sessions: ‘Women and Technology’ catered for women with an interest in new technology and build new connections, and ‘Introduction to Technology’ for seniors who are keen to become more familiar with computers and technology in general. Seminars on Internet security and tablet showcase are held monthly at the Foundation’s Currie Street Office.

The organisation has an internet lounge which offers free access to people who are over 50 years of age, and can be accessed for up two hours per session. There are PCs operating with Windows and a Mac available for all computing and internet needs and if you’re a first time user then expert staff and volunteers are on hand to assist you navigate your way online.

Catalyst Foundation (formerly Seniors Information Service) is an inclusive and independent organisation seeking to improve the lives of all South Australians in the areas of Ageing, Disability, Lifestyle, Employment, Business and Learning.
