Diabetes and obesity seminar in NSW on 14 November

The Garvan Institute is holding a free public seminar in Darlinghurst, Sydney next month.

The seminar will offer helpful information on diabetes and obesity.

Topics to be covered are:

  • Is healthy eating and exercise alone enough to prevent and manage diabetes?
  • What is your risk of diabetes if other members of your family are diagnosed?
  • Can you still get diabetes even if you’re not overweight?

In Australia, nearly one million people are affected by Type 2 diabetes, with 55,000 more being diagnosed every year.

The seminar will be held on Friday 14 November from 10am to 12noon at the NAB Auditorium, Garvan Institute, 384 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst.

Bookings are essential.  Phone (02) 9295 8110.
