Azure Blue Carina, in Brisbane’s inner east, comprises both a care precinct, along with luxury retirement living apartments, where resident amenities include a swimming pool, café, library, function room and media room.
Blue Care executive director, Robyn Batten, said the development was Blue Care’s second Azure Blue community, following the completion of its first at Redcliffe in mid-2012.
“Blue Care is a not for profit provider, and we are committed to providing the community with tailor made services that assist people to maintain their independence for as long as possible,” she said.
Azure Blue Carina is reportedly the largest Blue Care project to date, and features 98 stylish, contemporary apartments and villas for people aged over 65 who want to retire, and lead an active lifestyle close to the Brisbane CBD.
More than half the site features natural bushland and landscaping which has had enormous appeal with buyers – the majority of whom have come from Brisbane’s inner east and south. Also of appeal is the two-storey residential aged care facility on site for 128 people, and Blue Care’s allied health services.
More than 140 people have commenced work at Azure Blue Carina, across the retirement living, residential aged care and community care precincts.
Residents from Blue Care Salvin Park Aged Care Facility at Carina Heights were the first residents to move in, as they made the transition from their older facility to their new home.
Remaining apartments comprise two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and have views north to the Gateway Bridge or looking out onto natural bushland surrounds. Prices start from $465,000 as of 28 May 2014.
