by DPS

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing will hold a forum on culture and spirituality in ageing on 12 June at Monash University, level 7, 30 Collins Street, Melbourne.

This forum will assist aged care service managers, managers of health and allied services, care coordinators, health services staff, aged care staff, lifestyle coordinators, Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) staff, policy workers, allied health professionals, and pastoral and spiritual leaders, to understand  and help elderly people in their search for life meaning, hopes, beliefs, identity and connectedness.

Speakers will explore the role of spirituality and religion in the ageing migrant communities.

Practical models that have successfully implemented culturally inclusive initiatives will be highlighted.

To register for this conference, visit www.culturaldiversity.com.au, or phone (03) 8823 7900 for more information.
