Cultural Diversity in Ageing 2007 National Conference: Melbourne 7-8 June
The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing (formerly known as PICAC-Vic), is presenting the Cultural Diversity in Ageing 2007 National Conference, 7-8 June at the Sofitel Melbourne.
With the theme ‘Behind every person is a long journey. Meeting the aged care needs of our culturally and linguistically diverse community’, the conference will explore issues around language and communication, current and future service responsiveness, culturally inclusive management and policy development.
Aged care service providers from around Australia will highlight culturally responsive service initiatives in afternoon concurrent sessions. Topics include the aged care needs of specific communities, language and culture, bilingual staff, service planning and management considerations.
