Cultural Care Kit meeting needs of CALD clients
Elder Rights Advocacy (ERA) has reprinted its popular Cultural Care Kit to meet continuing demand from service providers who want a resource to assist them to provide appropriate and sensitive care to their CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) clients.
It has become a well accepted and valued resource in aged care services as well as a range of other health care and hospital settings.
The Kit contains information about 25 different cultural groups covering religion, traditions, food, as well as the role of the family, links to web based resources, and much more.
A useful feature of the Kit is the inclusion of phrases relevant to care in each of the community languages covered.
For more details about the communities covered and information provided about each group, download an order form at http://www.era.asn.au or call Elder Rights Advocacy on (03) 9602 3066.
