Crisis tool wins international award
The Swedish developed Crisis Management, a crisis management tool marketed in Australia by Brisbane company Creatop has received international acclaim. Crisis Commander was named the world’s ‘Most Innovative Solution of the year’ for 2009 at the recent Business Continuity Awards in London.
Designed to help health and aged care organisations to manage infectious outbreaks and disasters, the tool gives providers a set of planning templates and emergency communication systems.
The tool was developed in response to the challenges faced by providers forced to establish contingency plans at a time of crisis. Based on models from Sweden, Crisis Commander is the result of extensive planning and revision.
It encourages users to develop plans by answering the question, “What if?”
