Country Health SA appoints inaugural chief executive
George Beltchev, who was appointed interim chief executive of Country Health SA at its inception in July 2006, has now won the position for a five year period.
He has been instrumental in leading the establishment of the new service, and the Board is pleased he has accepted the position to lead Country Health SA into the future.
The reforms began with the dissolution of seven regional boards and replacement by Country Health SA. It has now also taken responsibility for the Environmental Health Centre at Port Pirie, and has appointed a general manager to the Port Pirie Lead project.
