With over 15 years experience in the aged care sector Andrew and Alison Case understand the complexities of the industry.

AJ Case Consulting opened its doors earlier this year, sharing the owners’ knowledge with both industry and consumers. The organisation offers placement services to people looking at moving into care and presents aged care providers with quality advice.

“When a person needs to move into care, it often happens quite suddenly and it is an emotional time. There are a lot of things to consider and it’s a lot to juggle for family when they might be working and looking after a loved one whilst looking for a place and deal with all the paperwork. It can be quite daunting,” Mr Case says.

“We help consumers with the whole process of moving into care,” he explains. “From organising assessments and looking for placement to contacting aged care providers to organise for clients to view the site and assisting with admission paperwork.”

“We are working with people to assist them in the process and make sure it’s right for them. All they need to do is look after their loved one and we’ll look after the rest,” he says.

One of the recent success stories for AJ Case involved an elderly lady who needed to move into care after losing her husband. AJ Case Consulting was able to find placement for the woman within a week in the area she wanted to move to.

In such an emotional time Mr Case says it’s important to treat people in a sympathetic manner. “We talk with them and about what they want, we don’t tell them what to do,” he says.

With over 15 years experience in the aged care sector Andrew and Alison Case understand the complexities of the industry. Aged care providers can utilise AJ Case Consulting’s expertise for a whole range of organisational matters.

“Our consulting service for organisations can include reviews of their administration, staffing levels, policies and procedures, assisting with accreditation and help to maximise their income and quality of care,” Mr Case says.

For 2016 AJ Case Consulting is taking another step in the company’s goal to help communities to age gracefully and locally.

They are is looking at expanding its services with information days for consumers where they can find out what aged care is about, what is involved in the process and what needs to be considered.
